Piya graduated with a BSc Honours in Exercise Physiology from the University of California, Davis. Over the years, she’s had a variety of experience within the sports and medical field. Piya has had the chance to work with collegiate level athletes such as triathletes, volleyball, and basketball players. During which she played a vital role in the development of their athletic training and conditioning through weightlifting and ensuring that prerequisites were met to achieve peak performance.
With a background in collegiate volleyball and mountaineering, she understands the importance of maintaining a balanced training regimen; this includes conventional weightlifting and endurance training. Not only is Piya passionate about getting her clients to reach their potential, she is also a firm believer in using exercise as a tool to prevent hypokinetic diseases such as, diabetes, hypertension, and certain heart diseases.
Employing the research behind physiology to obtain maximum performance, Piya structures her sessions scientifically in order to meet the specific needs of her clients within the given time frame. She sets realistic short term targets that are measurable in order to reach the clients’ ultimate health goals. She has been known to push her clients beyond their limits, guaranteeing results both physically and mentally.
